Samurai Champloo

Few anime series depend on a particular musical style than those by Shinirocho Watabane, the creator of "Cowboy Bebop." This time, he pairs a really unlikely duo, classic Japanese samurai drama with American urban hip-hop. Who would have thought it would work? And, with four composers no less, the result is a cool new twist to an old genre.
The domestic "best of" CD released by Geneon is just a poor sampler of the four albums released in Japan. The vast outpouring of music that this series inspired is best presented here. The second half of the series begins November 19th.

InuYasha

One of the biggest hits of the late night anime block, "InuYasha" not only has all new episodes running, but 2 of the 4 spectacular feature films that cover major plot changes have also premiered. Higurashi Kagome, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters, Kagome must join forces with the half-dog demon InuYasha to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands. A simple format that has allowed the series to run several seasons.

Kiyo is depressed guy, suddenly given a mamodo named Zatch Bell to take care of. Mamodos fight to be the king of their world and must pick a master on Earth until one survives. Through their many battles, Kiyo learns the importance of friendship and courage.
